Litter Survey

On the 5th of March we did a litter survey around the school grounds to find out how much there was. We sorted it into categories. Then the school introduced a 'Pack in Pack out' policy for our lunchboxes. Last week we did the exact same survey in the same areas to find out if it had made a difference. We then graphed our results.

We found out that there was 58% less litter in the school grounds. The greatest number of wrappings was in the junior playground but there have a been a lot of children using that area and they need to be more careful. There were 9 items of clothing at the Big Avench which we believe is too much lost property and the kids need to take more responsibility for their belongings.

We think the Green Ninjas are doing a great job. Keep up the good work.
